Geologist Grade “A” (salary range £2561—£2664 £2767) should have had at least six years’ experience since graduation including substantial experience in engineering geology. Experience in engineering geology or soil mechanics would be an advantage for applicants for the position of Geologist Grade “B” (salary range £1533 £1678—£1823—£1989—£2177—£2365). The successful applicants will work under the supervision of the Board’s Senior Geologist on geological investigations connected with civil engineering works. The Board’s Geological Section’s operations cover not only the Sydney area but also the various catchment areas connected with the Board’s water supply. The successful applicants will be stationed initially at Warragamba Dam where single accommodation is provided and an allowance paid. The location of the Section will be moved to near Sydney during 1966 and accommodation will then not be provided.
