It is engaged in the fabrication and merchandising of reinforcing and structural steel. THE POSITION is that of Workshop Supervisor, located in Wellington, with responsibility for reinforcing steel fabrication, programming of the workshop and co-ordination of despatch. It calls for the ability to read engineering drawings and detailing in simple terms the requirements to the fabricating sections. THE MAN sought should have a good education and preferably an engineering background. He should have had production experience in a position of responsibility and be able to show a history of effective leadership. He should also be of sufficient potential to accept later promotional opportunities when they arise. THE REWARDS include a basic commencing salary in the vicinity of £l7OO per annum, with additional bonus consideration, although this should not deter a more senior man from applying for this key position. The successful applicant would be responsible to the Company Secretary for the control of the Accounts Department which centralises all accounting functions for New Zealand, including preparation of the Balance Sheet and Profit and Loss Account. Working conditions are excellent. THE MAN envisaged would be qualified A.R.A.N.Z., at least 30 years of age and have had commercial experience, preferably in a position of some responsibility. He should have some knowledge of machine accounting have the ability to lead and effectively co-ordinate a staff of 25 personnel, as well as fit in with a well knit management team. THE REWARDS: The Company is considering a figure in the close vicinity of £2OOO per annum, but this should not deter a man of higher qualification or experience from applying, as this is regarded as a senior executive position.
