COSTS STILL GROWING
Sydney Opera House
(N.Z. Press Assn.-—Copyright) SYDNEY, Jan. 21.
Opera House costs are still mounting, no provision has yet been made for essential parking, and there appears to be no hope of completion before the end of 1969. This was disclosed by the New South Wales Minister for Public Works, Mr Davis Hughes. Latest estimates of the final cost of the building itself range from £24 million to £2B million. Provision for parking is expected to cost at least another £1,800,000.
