COLOURED COFFINS unearthed from a rock-hewn cemetery between the Onad pyramid and a valley temple on the outskirts of Cairo. A number of 440-yard-long catacombs in the cemetery contain thousands of mummies of court officials of the twenty-sixth dynasty, about 2600 years ago.
