North Island Wool
The Christchurch wool selling centre draws its wool from widely scattered parts. On offer yesterday in the fifth sale of the season were 86 bales of Corriedale wool from a Waipukurau ven* dor, R. B. Johnstone. Mr Johnstone’s wool made among the top prices in the section. A representative of the firm handling the northern wool said that this wool had been coming to Christchurch for sale for a number of years and always attracted keen competition. It was sent to Christchurch for sale in a fine wool market, as little of this type of wool was sold in the north.
