CLARIFIED BITTER
Production To Be Boosted (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 20. To meet the large overseas demand for clarified butter and anhydrous milk fat the Dairy Board has expanded and reorganised its Auckland plant to work round the clock. The factory will produce up to 50 tons of the two products a day. Clarified butter sells well in Fiji among the Indian papulation for use as cooking oil. Anhydrous milk fat is finding an expanding market in South-east Asia. Last season 5000 tons was exported. The Dairy Board has trained Asian technicians in New Zealand to assist countries manufacturing recombined milk from anhydrous milk fat.
