Women Appear For Sentence
(N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, Jan. 20. Four inmates of the Dunedin women’s prison appeared in the Magistrate’s Court today before Mr A. T. Ross, S.M., for sentence on charges of escaping from custody, aggravated assault, and wilful damage. Lona Beatrice Morrissey, • aged 18, and Rosemarie Naera, aged 19, pleaded guiltythrough Mr J. Conrads, and Mattie Mateana Rewiti, aged 23, and Carole Ann Heta, aged ; 19, pleaded guilty through Mr M. J. Knuckey. Naera and Morrissey were sentenced to three months’ imprisonment on each of the charges, the terms to be concurrent. Heta and Rewiti were remanded for a month under the Mental Health Act.
