State Deposits Lower State deposits with the Reserve Bank in the week to December 22 were £12.8m against £15.9m the week before. Trading bank statutory deposits were £13.4m higher at £49.5m. Bank notes for the week were £2.9m more at £100.6m, according to figures released by the Reserve Bank. I There was a slight drop in overseas exchange holdings, from £16.65m to £16.03m. Investments overseas were unchanged at £23.29m, and investments in New Zealand were £l.2m higher to £33.7in. State indebtedness rose from £69.4m to finish at £75.7m; and marketing organisations owed considerably more—£4s.sm compared with £35.2m the previous week.
