Theft, Escaping, Car Conversion
(N.Z. Press Association) NAPIER, Jan. 5. A North Island crime spree during December led to the appearance before Mr W. K. L. Dougall, S.M., today of Tatiria Rewi, aged 30, a workman, who pleaded guilty to eight charges of car conversion, two of theft and one of escaping from custody. The Magistrate, when he remanded Rewi until next Tuesday, said that Rewi. currently serving a period of preventive detention, should perhaps be sent to Supreme Court for sentence.
