(N.Z. Press Assn.— CopyrtgliD NEW YORK. Officials of the United States grand prix have announced the first 100,000dolllar purse in the history of world championship road racing. Associated Press reported. The grand prix, to be run at Watkins Glen, New York, on October 2, will offer 20,000 dollars for the
winner of the formula on* race. Second place will b« worth 10,000 dollars an 6every car that is invite* will get a minimum tf 2800 dollars Announcement of the purse, worth a total of 102,400 dollars, was made by Mr Cameron Argetsinger, executive director of the Watkins Glen Grand Prix Corporation.
