Big Demolition Job
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 5. An Australian firm this month will begin one of the largest wrecking projects so far undertaken in New Zealand. The demolishing of the head office of the National Bank of New Zealand and adjoining buildings in Wellington. As soon as demolition is completed, contractors will begin construction of a £1 million, 14-storey office tower for the bank. The demolition firm is Whelan the Wrecker Pty. Ltd. one of Australia’s oldest and largest demolition organisations.
