Simpson 3000

When R. Simpson scored his first run against England yesterday he became the eighth Australian batsman to reach an aggregate of 3000 runs in tests against al) countries. Four of them have been purely post-war players: A. Morris, C. McDonald, N. Harvey and Simpson. The two wickets of English off-spinner, D. Allen, yesterday gave him a tally of 100 wickets in test cricket.
