‘Miss World’ A Witch
tspecial Crjpdt. N.Z.P.A.) LONDON, Dec. 30. Last year’s “Miss World,” who refused a lucrative Hollywood contract, has become a 10-guinea-a-week witch. Ann Sidney has just started rehearsals with the New Century Players in Manchester for a production of “Macbeth.” Miss Sidney, a former hairdresser from Poole, in Dorset, said: “This is what I want. I enjoyed being "Miss World,’ but I am glad it is all over. “I have had film offers, but I w’ant to be a good actress. I know I could make a lot more money elsewhere, but all I want is a job in the theatre.”
