The international Olympic committee (1.0. C. has extended its deadline for applications to hold the 1972 Olympic Games. The extension was from December 31 to January 20, 1966.
A committee spokesman said the extension was made at the request of Vienna, Amsterdam and the American Olympic Committee, which still has to decide among applications from Los Angeles, Detroit and Chicago. The American committee was also given until January 20 to designate a city for the 1972 winter Olympics. Only three definite applications for the summer games have thus far been received alt 1.0. C. headquarters. They I are from Montreal, Matkid, and Munich.
