Lull In Quemoy Shelling

HONG KONG, Dec. 30.
The Chinese Army would refrain from shelling the Nationalist - held offshore island of Quemoy on December 31 and January 1 to allow the inhabitants to celebrate the New Year, Radio Peking said yesterday. Shelling is done on odd days of the month. Peking claims the off-shore islands as its territory.
