U.S. Arms Strike

WASHINGTON, Dec. 29
The Secretary for Labour (Mr Willard Wirtz) has intervened in a strike which threatens to cause a shortage of ammunition for American forces in Vietnam. The walk-out by 4200 machinists at the Olin Mathieson Chemical Company’s plant in Alton, Illinois, entered its twenty-ninth day today.
