ARGENTINE VISITOR
Canterbury Farm Tours
Mr W. F. Kugler, the Argentine Secretary of State for Agriculture and Livestock, who has been invited to visit New Zealand in the course of a world tour, will see something of Canterbury fanning next week. He is a master of agricultural science.
This afternoon he will visit the properties of the estate James Reid, Ltd. and Mr C. 0. Redfern in the Darfield district, and on Tuesday he will go to the Winchrnore irrigation research station in the morning and the property of Mr M. S. Turton at Ashburton Forks in the afternoon before returning to Christchurch again by way of the Ashburton Gorge. On Wednesday morning he will visit Lincoln College and in the afternoon will go to Peel Forest where he will be the guest of Mr J. Acland, the chairman of the Wool Board, that evening at Mount Peel station. The next morning Mr Kugler will leave for Invercargill. Mr Kugler is accompanied by his wife and also Hr. H. Amendola of the economic section of the Ministry for External Relations in the Argentine, and Miss M. E. Padin, Cabinet counsellor.
