Accepted
A tender of £92,508 by T. E. Marriott and Sons, Ltd., for the first' stage of the new building project in Hereford street for the Christchurch Young Men’s Christian Association has been accepted by the association’s board of directors. The tender was the lowest of four. Work will begin early next month and is expected to be finished early in 1967. The building will be of reinforced concrete. Of 28,000 sq. ft. it will include a gymnasium, a youth centre, three squash courts, a plunge pool, a theatrette, a cafeteria, and offices. Architects for the project are Messrs Griffiths, Moffat and Partners.
