Bunnies Must Not Mingle
(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) NEW YORK, Dec. 26.
New York’s Playboy Club has received a cabaret licence after promising to keep its bunnies in the hutch, the Associated Press reported.
The licence means that the club’s patrons can be entertained by live performers and orchestras while they are served by waitresses in bunny costumes.
The city licence commissioner, Joseph Dicarlo, said that he issued the licence after the club had promised that the bunnies would confine themselves to serving food and drinks and not mingle with the customers.
Talks on Weather.—Weather scientists from the United States the Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and parts of the Pacific would attend a four-yearly conference in Wellington from February 7 to 18, said the director of the meteorological service (Dr. J. F. Gabites). — (P.A.)
