Successful Tenders
The Isaac Construction Company, Ltd., has been awarded a £19,069 13s 4d contract for road reconstruction on the Waikari straight on State highway 7, between Waikari and Hurunui, the Ministry of Works says in the latest issue of the Gazette. Other successful tenderers were:—State highway 6 (Blen-heim-Invercargill) reconstruction and sealing from O’Sullivans Bridge to Eight Mile: Highway Construction (Nelson), Ltd., £18,713 17s 7d; State highway 8 (Timaru to Milton) reconstruction Pukaki-Ohau section: Higgins Earthmoving, Ltd., £17,487 18s Id; installation of steam heating in numbers four and five hangars at R.N.Z.A.F. station. Wigram: A. and T. Burt, Ltd., £14,282: four single housing units at Timaru: S. S. Home and Son, Ltd., £15,290.
