The initial expense of £BO,OOO has been approved by the M.S.D.-Spiers Group for building a large sawmill at Tangiwai early next year. The mill will service the company’s operations in the I Karioi State Forest. The production director (Mr A. L. The mill would be near the Tangiwai railway station, where it would be provided with a I private siding. “The mill is designed to cut between 20.000 and 25.000 board feet of timber daily,” Mr Woodward said.
