VIET CONG HORN.—A South Vietnamese soldier blowing on a makeshift horn used by the Viet Cong as a warning. It is made from parts of a musical instrument and part of a rice-milling machine. The horn was left behind by the Viet Cong when South Vietnamese forces made a naval assault on the town of Long Thanh, 30 miles south of Saigon. The horn could be heard before the landing, and the Viet Cong disappeared.
