LORD ISMAY DEAD

Lord Ismay, the noted British soldier-politician, who was first secretary-general of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, died at his home on Friday night, aged 78. Lord Ismay, who held the NJLT.O. post from 1952-57, died in his sleep after a short illness.
