Fine Bowling By McAllister The match between Woodend and Bangtora is evenly balanced, while Amberley and the less favoured Ohoka sides lead on the first innings in their matches in the sixth round of the Ashley cricket competitions. Hard and fast grounds aided the batsmen considerbly. However, bowlers were on top in the matches between Amberley and Carloton, and Ohoka and Kaiapoi. Playing for Kaiapoi, D. McAllister returned the remarkable figures of eight wickets for 30 against Ohoka. Scores:—
