£10,000 Profit Expected

(N.Z. Press Ajsoclotion) ROTORUA, Dec. 17. The Bay of Plenty Savings Bank, now in its second year, expected to finish the year with a profit of £lO.OOO, the president (Mr R. L. Reeder) said today. Speaking at the official opening of the Rotorua branch’s new premises in Tutanekai street, Mr Reeder said approval would be sought from the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake) to allow the bank to make grants to charitable organisations. In its first year, the bank had a profit of £l4OO. Mr Reeder said the bank was big business. Last month turnover in its nine branches amounted to £>oo,ooo.
