R.S.A. Retains Lead In Three Fours

R.SA. 1, tlie leading team in the Christchurch Bowling Centre's three fours competition, was for the first time this season unable to record a six-point win. It lost one game to Shirley 111 when A. Nottingham’s four was beaten 20-19 by R. Horsfall.

One of the surprise losses was by the Christchurch four skipped by R. Lulham, which lost to J. Turpin (Canterbury) 20-17. This match was one of the closest of the day and each club finished with 58 points. J. Dale (Burwood), had a comfortable win, 32-13. over J. Samms (Barrington) but M. Deavoll (Sydenham), who with Dale ia a Christchurch nomination for the world bowling championships, was struggling to beat B. Arundel!
