Royal Sheen May Test Favourites At Pukekohe

"Tlx Press" Special Service AUCKLAND. The meeting again of Royal Sheen, Elkayel and Creemore in the first leg of the T.A.B. double, the Hugh Dent Memorial, promises to be a bright feature at the Ohinemuri Jockey Club’s meeting at Pukekohe today.

Over a slightly longer course on the track a fortnight ago they had a great set-to and Royal Sheen just won. On that occasion, in the South Auckland Gold Cup, 11 furlongs, Royal Sheen carried 7-5, Elkayel 8-6 and Creemore 7-4.

This time Royal Sheen is up 121 b, Elkayel 71b and Creemore 81b.

Creemore, in the meantime, finished second to Golden Defoe in the W. S. Gooeman Handicap, 11 furlongs, at Te Aroha last Saturday. The other two have not raced.

Royal Sheen has trained on well but it is by no means certain that he has yet reached the peak of his form. Silver Sunset and Computer are improving horses which should be hard to beat in the

second leg, the Shaw Handicap. There was rein yesterday but providing the weather dears again quickly the track wfll be good.
