This is a full-time post although much of the work, for some time to come, will be done in evenings. The successful applicant wili be permitted to undertake outside engagements provided that, in no way, will this interfere with the expanding work required by his duties. SALARY: From £l5OO p.a. depending on qualifications and experience. Normally the orchestra s working year lasts from February 1 to December 20. Approximately 120 public performances are giving including two or three seasons of ballet and opera, schools' concerts and the normal series of subscription performances. The players of the orchestra are, at present, on part-time engagement but it is intended that a cadre of full-time instrumentalists will be appointed as time goes on.
