SPECIAL COURT IN INDONESIA

(N.Z.P.A. Reuter —Copyright) DJAKARTA, Dec. 17. The Indonesian Government is setting up an emergency court to try people who attempt to “sabotage” or hinder the success of the Government’s new economic measures.

The Indonesian Justice Minister, Mr A. Astrawinata, said the Court would be formed soon, the official Antara news agency reported. Mr Astrawinata warned all traders not to seek huge profits by stockpiling goods or raising prices. Those who refused to take heed would face “heavy punishment”

The Government has announced several economic measures recently including the revaluation of the rupiah currency at the rate of 1000 to the present rupiah equalling one “new rupiah.” The Indonesian Government has set up a special body charged with controlling the State budget, Djakarta newspapers reported today.

The papers said the body was also charged with deciding the use of the budget and to control its implementations. The body is led by the Third Deputy Prime Minister, Dr. Chearul Saleh. The Indonesian Student Action Front, to which all student bodies are affiliated, has demanded that President Sukarno reshuffle his cabinet after the recent abortive coup.
