Admiral’s Bluff
A landmark in Antarctica might correctly be called the Defek big bluff, accerding to Rear-Admiral G. Dufek, a former commander of tite United States naval support force in Antarctica, who yesterday visited the present cssaaaander, Bear-Admiral F. E. Bakutis, at advance headquarters at Harewood. Meuntains and the Dufek Massif, Admiral Dwfek said that he had asked his wife to leak up the definition sf “massif” in the dictionary. Her remark after finding It was to the effect: "I thought so—a massif is a big bluff!” Admiral Bakutis and Admiral Dufek compared past and present Antarctic programmes arid problems, and Admiral Dufek offered his congratulations to the force.
