It was good work by Silver Sabre, but he has a tough field to contend with in the Santa Rosa Stakes.

The maiden, Blue Glare, surprised when he had the edge on Hooplah over half a mile in Slaec, the last throe furlongs in SSsec. It was a fine effort by Blue Glare, but he Is not a certain starter in the Welcome Plate owing to a wide draw. Gymkhana left half a mile behind in grand style. He took 51 3-ssec and was going strongly at the finish. He is fit for the Flying Handicap. Narbada did well to stay right with Plantation over half a mile in 32 4-ssec, the last three furlongs in 39 l-ssec Plantation looks ready to test his rivals in the Challenge Stakes.
