HUTTON, County Clerk. 5046 OTAGO CATCHMENT BOARD LOWER CLUTHA FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT FLOODWAY ENTRANCE CONTROL WEIR TENDERS are Invited for the construction of the Floodway Entrance Control Weir situated at the upstream end of Inch Clutha. The work comprises 1000 feet of control weir and associated stilling basin, constructed of asphaltic grouted gabions, and rip-rap rock. It involves the construction of some 10,200 square yards of gabion mattresses, the pouring of 1460 tons of asphaltic grouting the placement of 11.800 cubic vards of rockwork and the driving of 24 tons of sheet piling. Contract documents may be obtained from the office ot the Board on the payment of £5 deposit which will be refunded to a bona fide tenders.
