N.Z. Part Proposed f-VZ. Press Association) AUCKLAND, Dec. 14. New Zealand will be Invited to Join about 40 other countries In a new world trade centre to be built in New York city by the Port of New York Authority. Mr W. C. Gibson, who is the special trade development representative of the authority for the Far East-Pacific area, said in Auckland that he would propose participation to the New Zealand Government later this week. The new centre had been designed by the JapaneseAmerican architect, Minoru Yamasaki, and would feature twin towers 110 storeys high —the tallest building In the world—above a great open plaza.
Mr Gibson said the proposed New Zealand office would be in the Plaza of Nations and would be two storeys high. Through this office the New Zealand Government could promote trade, tourism, and investment. said Mr Gibson.
