Obituary Mr A. E. D. Ludecke
Mr A. E. D. Ludecke, a Christchurch lawyer, died on Monday, aged 65. The only son of the late Mr and Mrs D. Ludecke, of Christchurch, he was educated at the Woolston School, the Christchurch Boys’ High School, and Canterbury University College. He took the solicitors’ professional examination and later was admitted as a barrister. For about 25 years Mr Ludecke was with the firm of Rhodes, Ross, and Godby before he set up in practice on his own behalf in 1946. In 1963 he joined Mr D. H. Stringer to form the firm of Stringer and Ludecke, and was a member of that firm at the time of his death. Mr Ludecke was well known in Masonic circles in Christchurch, and was a pastmaster of Lodge Woolston 403. His recreations were gardening and swimming. Winter and summer he took a daily swim at the Centennial Pool. Mr Ludecke is survived by his wife, two sons, Mr Terence Ludecke. of Mosgiel, and Mr Michael Ludecke, of Christchurch, and a daughter, Mrs John Taylor, of ClufcviUe.
