HOUSE MUST BE MOVED
Built On Road Reserve (From Our Own Reporter) GREYMOUTH, Dec. 14. Mr P. McGrath, a resident of Camerons, a few miles south of Greymouth, has been told by the Ministry of Works that he will have to move his bouse by next March. It is on a road reserve which is required by the Ministry for road widening. Mr McGrath’s residence is the only one in the area completely on rdad reserve, but some other homes may be affected. Unfortunately for Mr McGrath he will be unable to claim any compensation.
The width of the new road was approved last week. There will be two 12ft lanes with Bft shoulders, giving the new highway a total width of 40ft. The present roadway is only 18ft Wide in parts.
