Anakiwa Fees Up
(N.Z. Press Association)
WELLINGTON, Nov. 25.
Fees for a boy attending the Outward Bound school at Anakiwa would rise from £4O to £5O from April, the president (Mr J. W. Coney) announced at the annual meeting today. The main factor in the rise was salaries that had to be paid to ensure safety and better instruction, he said. The warden, Mr H. S. Thomas, said that washing and sanitation facilities were not adequate for 56 boys and although the situation was not unworkable, the size of courses could not be increased.
