AN X-RAY EXAMINATION FOR AN ANTARCTIC HUSKY.—Stephen, a three-year-old Scott Base husky, being prepared for an X-ray examination at the United States McMurdo Station after injuring his right hind-leg in a fight with another dog. The leg was found to be broken, and although it was set in splints without an anaesthetic, Stephen did not whimper once. Holding the husky is its handler, Mr I. B.
