SAVED BY BELT
The Melbourne racing driver, R. Jane, who raced at Pukekohe last season, was saved by his seat belt when his new Ford Mustang crashed during a race at Warwick Farm, Sydney, recently.
The car lost a rear wheel at an estimated 120 m.p.h., hit a bank, leapt a five-foot fence, rolled about 10 times, and caught fire. Jane suffered a black eye and a bruised elbow.
