Coal Found In Fiji
(N.Z.P.A Reuter—Copyright) SUVA.
Coal found in Fiji was among minerals submitted for examination by the Mines Office last year. The annual report of the Mining Board says that the sample was submitted by a prospector and was reputed to have come from the headwaters of the Wainimala river.
It burned fairly readily and, although apparently high in ash content, gave off a fair amount of heat.
