NEW YORK, Nov. 23. For the last even* ing of her American tour, Princess Margaret has issued a special request . . . “Call me Ma’am.” With Lord Snowdon, the Princess will attend an “American kitchen party” at the plush Four Seasons Res-
taurant as guest of her friend, Miss Shannan Douglas. “It will be an evening of American informality as Miss Douglas requested,” said a spokesman for the restaurant. “The Princess has made known that she wants to be addressed as ‘Ma'am’ rather than ‘Your Highness'” They will be drinking and dancing in typical American surroundings.
The entire restaurant has been reserved for the party. Miss Douglas is keeping the guest list secret until sometime today. The 212 guests will walk around the pool in the restaurant and into the kitchens where a buffet of 30 different dishes will be served. Last evening, the Princess
and Lord Snowdon attended three private parties before returning to the estate of Mr and Mrs John Hay Whitney, their hosts, to rest before attending tonight’s party.
