RUSHED TO HOSPITAL
i Children who took pills i (N.Z. Press Association) BLENHEIM, Nov. 23. Two young ch’ldren were rushed by ambulance from Picton to Wairau Hospital last evening after they swallowed some pills obtained while visiting a neighbour’s house. The children, Leslie Blaikie, aged four, and Joanne Blaikie, aged two, were described by hospital authorities this morning as in a satisfactory and fair condition respectively. Lt is believed the children were playing with others in the neighbouring house and that pills prescribed for an adult member of the household were discovered and consumed. The children were attended by Dr. J. D. Buckner, of Picton.
