Egg-Laying Trials
Teams with leading egg scores at the end of the ninth month of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club’s laying trial are: Six-Bird Teams.—Australorps: Mrs G. M. Cromie (Christchurch), 1231 eggs. White Leghorns: S. W- and D. Ballantyne (Invercargill), 1151 eggs. Rhode Island Reds: J. R. Campbell (Oamaru), 1220 eggs. Cross Breed: Bromley Park, Ltd. (Tuakau), 1193 eggs.
Twenty-bird Teams.—Australorps: W. A, McClatchy (Christchurch), 3846 eggs. White Leghorns: H. G. Sugden (Christchurch), 3236 eggs.
In the autumn-hatched trial leading teams at the end of the third month are: Six-bird Teams.—S. W. and D. Ballantyne with White Leghorns with 426 eggs. Twenty-bird Teams: Paparua Prison with cross breeds with 1263 eggs.
