POLICE CAR BELL TRIED
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. The Police Department today conducted trials with a police car equipped with a bell instead of a siren as a warning device. A spokesman for the supply and transport section of the department said the department had been looking for a more effective warning device for some time and that this was one of the methods being tested.
