MASTERED WELSH
Indonesian Envoy (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright) LONDON, November 23. Indonesia’s Ambassador to Britain, Mr Suyoto Suryo-di-Puro, has mastered the difficult Welsh language with such skill that he is appearing on television speaking Welsh. The Ambassador, who also speaks Javanese, Dutch, English, French. German, Italian, Spanish and his native Indonesian, said: “I’m doing it to encourage Welsh people —particularly children —to speak Welsh. “I want to show them that if a foreigner can learn their language they should be able to learn it.”
