Escaper Faces Three Charges (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND, November 22. Patrick Andrew McNally, aged 20, a butcher, who was extradited from Australia on November 13. today pleaded guilty to a charge of escaping from the Auckland police station cells on February 9. He also admitted breaking and entering the Hotel Dunedin on December 9 last year. He elected trial by jury on a charge of receiving £550. knowing it to have been dishonestly obtained. Sergeant I. V. Edwards said McNally had appeared in Court on February 9 and had escaped from the police station’ cells during the lunch break. Mr F. McCarthy, S.M., convicted McNally on the charges he had admitted and remanded him for a week for sentence.
