INCREASES IN NEW AWARD
Council, Board Officers
Pay increases ranging from £ll to £3O a year are provided for male officers in the new award for officers of the Northern, Canterbury, and Otago and Southland county councils, and catchment, drainage and river boards. Rates of wages for male officers rise from £395 a year in the first year to £lll5 in the fourteenth. Increases for female officers range from £ll to £24, and' the scale starts at £395, rising to £B3O in the ninth year.
The award, as it affects rates of wages, comes into force on the first day of the pay week commencing on or after October 1, 1965, and continues until March 31, 1967. It incoroporates the terms of settlement reached in the course of an inquiry held before a Council of Conciliation.
