Henry Wallace Dies, Aged 77
(N.Z .P.A.-muter—Copyright) WASHINGTON, Nov. 21. The former United States Vice-President, Mr Henry Wallace, died last Thursday. He was 77.
Mr Wallace, a member of Franklin D. Roosevelt's cabinet and a presidential candidate in 1948, died in hospital in Danbury, Connecticut He had been ill for several months.
Mr Wallace served as Secretary of Agriculture in the Roosevelt Cabinet from 1933 to 1940. He was Vice-Presi-dent under Roosevelt from 1941 tn 1945, and Secretary of Commerce under President Truman in 1945 and 1946.
