Killed By Rock Fall

HASTINGS, November 21. The man killed by a fall of rock on the Wharereata Hills, 30 miles south of Gisborne, on Friday afternoon was, John Gordon Ramsay, aged 62, single, of Paritu road. He was employed by the Cook County Council and lived alone.
He died about 2.30 p.m. on Friday when 10 tons of rock and rubble from a bank overhanging the roadside drain he was cleaning engulfed him-
He was found two hours later by motorists who found their road blocked by a slip. Mr Ramsay's only relatives live in Christchurch.
