MORE SKI TOWS
Beginners At Ruapehu
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 21. Better facilities may be available for people learning to ski on Mount Ruapehu next winter. The two biggest ski lift operators on the mountain, Ruapehu Alpine Lifts, Ltd., and the National Downhill Company, will be asked to provide additional tows for beginners next year. The Tongariro National Park Board decided at Ohakune on Saturday to make the recommendations.
More tows should be provided on . the mountain, the board decided. “There have been a considerable number of requests from ski clubs for beginners' tows and these clubs have a fair case,” said the chief park ranger, Mr J. W. Mazey.
