Australian Purchases The smart three-year-old. Diminutive, has been sold tn Parramatta Livestock Agency, ltd., Sydney. He was trained at Washdyke by G. D. Shand, who raced him in partnership with Mr S. A. Woods, of Timaru. Diminutive was placed twice at Oamaru recently, including a close second to Bizarre over 13 furiongs. He is an acceptor for the First Riccarton Stakes at Addington Raceway on Tuesday, but is most unlikely to start. Electronic, a six-year-old gelding by Logan Scott from Globe Girl, will also do his future racing in Australia. He has been bought by Mrs P. Pitches, of Sydney. He was a place-getter for his partowner and trainer, F. Murfitt. Astute has been sold by Mr G. A. Templeton to a Melbourne buyer. This half-sister to Tactile, Deft and other winners is in foal to Garrison Hanover and is booked to be served by Thurber Frost before being shipped to her new owner. The sales of Diminutive, Electronic and Astute were negotiated by National Mortgage and Agency Co., of N.Z., Ltd. A number of other horses are also due to be shipped to Australia early next week. They include Johnny Dark, a three-year-old gelding by Johnny Globe from Ludiana, which is to be trained by L. C. Chant, and a yearling filly by Caduceus from Fidelior.
